Invited Clubs was founded in 1957 as ClubCorp by Robert H. Dedman Sr. The company began with Brookhaven Country Club near Dallas and eventually became one of the most influential private-club operators in North America.
ClubCorp changed its name to Invited in 2022 to convey a more welcoming and inclusive approach to private club membership. Today, Invited operates more than 150 golf, country, city, and lifestyle clubs across North America. In June 2026, KSL Capital Partners acquired the company from funds managed by Apollo.
Racquet sports departments at Invited properties vary considerably. Some clubs have major tennis, pickleball, and squash facilities, while others are primarily golf clubs with smaller racquet programs.
Positions can include tennis professional, pickleball professional, head professional, director of racquet sports, and regional or corporate leadership.
Directors may be responsible for staffing, scheduling, instruction, tournaments, social events, facility maintenance, membership retention, marketing, budgeting, revenue forecasting, and departmental profitability.
