SECTION 8: Point Play within a Group Lesson
Sometimes during a group lesson, there will be an opportunity for the players to play out points or even sets.
This is often determined by how many courts are available. In this on-court section of the workshop, we will teach the attendees 6 games they can use where their students can actually playing out points.
This means that their students will be serving, returning, and keeping score although it may not be an actual match itself. There is an art to coaching during this time of a group lesson and we will teach the attendees how to set up point play opportunities, and the concept of 360-degree coaching so they can view the players from various locations of the court.
Attendees will also learn whether to give encouragement or technical-tactical advice during match play and the art of how to deliver that.
