BUMP BALL TENNIS DRILL

This tennis drill focuses on hand-eye coordination AND rally skills.

Players line up 4 on a court as shown in the diagram.

Each player has a racket and a foam ball in their non-hitting hand.

The coach feeds a ball into play and the players begin a rally.

When a player is receiving a ball, they must first use their foam ball to BUMP the incoming ball up in the air, and then after it bounces once, they use their racket to hit it back over.

This is not an easy tennis drill because it challenges BOTH rally skills and hand-eye coordination skills.
